How do I change my direct deposit information so my refund is direct deposited into my new bank account?

The direct deposit option has stored my bank information from last years return but there is no option to update it.

You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.

There is no option to update banking information for payout. I have a new banking account and need to change it.

By the term "payout" are you referring to a Federal tax refund--i.e., a "payout" from the Govt to you, as opposed to you paying taxes owed? Since the title of this thread is about direct deposit and refund, I'll assume you are asking about an account to receive your Federal refund.

If so, I'm also assuming you haven't yet actually filed. Did you proceed on to "Step 2 Your refund/payment info" as indicated in the FAQ provided above by xmasbaby0?
