Solved

I put to apply my refund to next year's tax return but I changed my mind. How can I change it?

If you have already filed & your return has been accepted, you cannot change it.

If your return has not been filed yet, you can go back & remove the amount.

To add, change or delete a current year federal tax refund to next year's taxes:

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Other Tax Situations
  • Under Additional Tax Payments
  • On Apply Refund to Next Year, click on the start or update button

If your return has not been filed & you applied a state refund to next years taxes, go back through your state interview.

I am inquiring about only filing my State Income Tax Return.

Yes.  I filed it accidentally, yesterday.  I’m guessing I just need to file an amended state return

You should probably just call them.

Here's where to contact the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
