Question

Im amending my taxes and it says federal due. Is that what im getting back or what i would owe if i amend?

    That is what you owe when you file the amended return.

     

    An amended return stands alone, separate from your originally filed tax return.  The changes you are making will either generate an additional refund amount or require you to pay additional tax.
