I'm trying to figure out the best way to add airfare under the "Armed Force Reservist". I fly back every month for drill, so the other options don't really apply to my situation. I've been reading through the community, but haven't found a solution that was helpful.

If traveled over 100 miles for Armed Forces Reserve duty you can take deduction for travel expenses including air fare in the "Employment Expenses" topic.

  1. Deductions & Credits
  2. Employment Expenses
  3. "Start/Revisit" "Job expenses for W2 income"
  4. Yes
  5. Who are the expenses for?
  6. Armed Forces Reserve Duty
  7. None of these apply
  8. Yes or No to Vehicle Expenses as applicable
  9. Enter your travel expenses including air fare in the "Travel Expenses" box
  10. Complete the rest of the interview as needed.
