The amounts will need to deleted in the interview section of the program.

If you are using the desktop software, log back into TurboTax.

    1. Select the Federal Taxes tab
    2. Select Wages & Income and if prompted, select I"ll choose what I work on
    3. Scroll down to Investments and select Update to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
    4. This will pull up a screen titled "Your investment sales summary."  On this page, you will see all of your investments listed.  Select the trash can icon to the right of the investment you would like to delete.  This will remove the investment from your tax return.

If you are using TurboTax online, the steps are similar.

    1. Log into TurboTax and select Income & Expenses.
    2. Scroll down to Investments and Savings and select revisit to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B).
    3. On the page titled "Let's finish pulling in your investment income", select the arrow pointing down to the right of the investment you want to delete and then select the edit button (see the screenshot below).
    4. On the next screen, you will see a screen similar to the one above.  Select the trash can icon to the right of the investment you wish to delete.
