I keep receiving the same message, "Wages paid Schedule C - We're updating employee credits for small businesses and farms. We should have this ready by  (xx/xx/xx). Please check back with us then." And it keeps pushing back the date. How do I resolve this issue? I need to file.

According to the Forms Availability Table, Form 8881, Employee Credits for Small Businesses and Farms is due on February 21, 2024, even if this doesn't seem to apply to your situation. Update your software the next day, run Review again, then try e-filing again. The forms hold should be released.

The IRS made several changes to forms related to businesses this year. TurboTax programmers are diligently working to implement these changes and ensure accuracy on all forms for your tax return.

I am running into the same problem with online turbo tax. It keeps saying Turbo tax is updating employee credit on Wage Paid Schedule C, but the date keeps getting pushed back. Now it's 2/29/24. I can't file until this is resolved. Please help.

    Thanks.

I have the same issue and it is extremely frustrating - the date keeps getting pushed back further and further. I've been waiting for 2 weeks already and there seems to be no definite fix in sight for the online edition of TurboTax, while the desktop software has a patch already.

the desktop version does not have a patch. I updated today (2/6) and run into the same issue

never using turbotax again, this should have bee brought to our attention BEFORE we all spent the time to complete the schedule C, not when we're about to file. Hours of my time wasted

The issue has been around for more than a month and they never fix it.  Bad company

    February 27, 2024

Now it says 3/2/2024... I wonder if they are capable of fixing this.

No they have no clues what to do.  They probably hired a whole of AI BOTs that have no brain

You have the option to report any expenses under Miscellaneous with a custom description. Some businesses use this section to list all expenses rather than filling out the dedicated lines. In the unlikely event that the IRS questions this treatment, you have adequate reason due to the forms delay.
