Question

For individual 401k account, how do I report voluntary after-tax contributions?

I have an individual 401k account. I maxed out the pre-tax contributions to 22500. I am planning to make the maximum allowable voluntary after-tax contributions. I do not see the option to report these contributions. Is it required to report the voluntary after-tax contributions? Where do these need to be reported?

Your contributions to a 401(k) plan as an employee can only be made by salary deferrals.

    You can't make after-tax contributions to a 401(k) plan.

Please read this IRS document for more information.
