Question

How do I classify IMP in box 14 on my W2? If I enter "other," if has no effect on my taxes. I believe it should affect at least my NY state bottom line.

It is the value of health coverage for a domestic partner

It's been deducted from your income already.  You aren't being taxed on the money that you used to pay for that health coverage so you can't deduct it on your taxes.
