There’s not a specific “Business and Individual Credit” available on your federal tax return, although there are any number of business or individual credits that a taxpayer may be eligible for.

To see what federal credits you may have generated in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open TurboTax Online
  2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
  3. On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Deductions & Credits box, then select StartContinue, Review/Edit, or Pick up where you left off
  4. On the Your tax breaks page, you should see any credits that are being claimed on your federal return.  If you aren't eligible for any of them, select Edit or Edit/Add to the right of the relevant credit
  5. Submit responses on the following screens that will make you ineligible for the credit

To check on a state return:

  1. Open TurboTax Online
  2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
  3. On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the State Taxes box, then select StartContinue, or Review/Edit
  4. In the left pane, select Prepare State
  5. Proceed through the screens until you come to the Status of your state returns screen
  6. Select Continue or Edit to the right of your state
  7. Proceed through the state screens until you come to the credits section.  Screens vary by state
  8. Select any credits you're not eligible for and submit responses that will make you ineligible for the credit

If this doesn't help, answering any of the following questions would assist us in figuring out what's going on:

  • Do you see a specific credit being applied that you’re not entitled to?
  • Were you entering a specific form when this credit was created?
  • Are you working in the federal section, or in a state section?  If state, what state?

Any additional information would be helpful.
