It depends.  If you are filing as a sole proprietor, or as a single member limited liability company (SMLLC) then you complete the self employment income section of the tax return   This is part of your individual income tax.  TurboTax will combine all income together including your self employment net profit (income after expenses).

The link below will show you how to get started with your business portion of your return.

How do I report income from self-employment?

Home Office Deduction   (if applicable)

Keep in mind that any assets for your business must be entered as an asset, even if you may be able to claim the full cost in the year you place them in service for business use.  If you choose not to do that, they will be depreciated over an estimated life called the recovery period.  There is an expense category called Assets.

If your business is a partnership, corporation, or an s-corporation you will need TurboTax Business software.

You can ask any question along the way and we are here to help.
