Question

I started an S Corp, have only funded it, not taken any money but paid a contractor well over the $600 threshold. What forms do I need to fill out?

So, I have not taken any funds from the separate business account, only made deposits, paid a subcontractor and other business expenses.  Can turbotax help me with the s corp forms?  What do I need to and when?

You need Turbo Tax Business.  It  is a separate program from Home & Business.  It is not available to do online or on a Mac.  And it will not do your personal 1040 return.

You can buy the Window's version here…..

TurboTax® Business Desktop 2023-2024 | Tax Software Download

Here are the system requirements to install Turbo Tax for Windows…..

You need to give the contractor a 1099NEC for over $600.  So in the Business program,

You can  prepare  W2s and 1099s by starting a new return, go to FILE - NEW TAX RETURN

On the Work on a Tax Return screen or Welcome to TurboTax screen , scroll down to the bottom and click the blue Prepare W-2/1099 button.

On the next screen, Choose where to prepare your forms, click the Online or Desktop option.  You can only prepare 1099-Int & Div using the Online option.
