Assuming you have a 1099-Misc with an amount in Box 3, go back and edit the entry and be sure not to indicate that this is self-employment income.   You received reimbursement for continuing education classes, so select

  • None of these uncommon situations apply.
  • Answer No, it did not involve work like my main job (your main job is not taking continuing education courses)
  • You should only be choosing, I got it in 2023.   Checking other boxes could imply it is self-employment income.
  • Answer No, it did not involve an intent to earn money.

It won't apply the self-employment tax or prompt you to fill out a Schedule C.
