Question

Hi. For California tax credits for 2024 tax year, where do I enter the Vehicle License Fee? I don't see it in the long list of taxes & adjustments for California. Thanks

I think that is just an itemized deduction not a credit.  You enter it on the federal side.

Federal Taxes (or Personal for H&B)
    Deductions and Credits
Cars and other things you own
    Car Registration Fees

The vehicle license fee is entered as registration fees for your vehicle, on your Schedule A of Form 1040.  It isn't entered as an adjustment on your CA tax return.  You can only deduct the part of your registration fee that is based on the vehicle's value that is assessed yearly.

To take these deductions, you must itemize your deductions instead of taking the Standard Deduction. For more information refer to the TurboTax Help articles What Are Personal Property Taxes?, Claiming Property Taxes on Your Tax Return, and Is Your Car Registration Deductible?

Refer to the TurboTax article Where do I enter my car registration fees? for navigation instructions.
