Question

If I do not know the total amount of milage I drove in 24" but kept up with milage for work can I estimate personal milage? When filing my taxes the system wants both.??

When filing my own taxes put in Turbo Tax app the system will not let me continue without my personal milage too.

    All of the mileage categories must be filled in to continue claiming miles for business purposes.  

     

    If you do not know your total miles driven for the year, enter the best estimate you can.  Check any service records for the beginning and end of the year for odometer readings.

     

    All of the categories of miles are needed in order to determine what percentage of your miles were driven for business purposes.
