Ohio Snag Filing Error on Retirement Income Credit.

When Trying to file my Ohio State return online I kept getting the "There is a snag Error".

After checking different recommended fixes and nothing working, I decided filing using Ohio's

Online filing.

On completing it (Did not summit yet) I found when printing out return, everything was the same, Except

for the Ohio retired income credit. Ohio says $50 Credit, Turbotax says $200.

On researching this on Ohio's site it looks like $50 is correct. I have $1667 of retirement income included

in my Ohio AGI. Per Table 2 in instructions it shows $50, not $200.

Why does Turbo Show $200. How do I correct the program, or there an update needed to correct this?

I believe this is the reason I cannot file Ohio's return through turbotax.

Thanks,

Eric

The Ohio tax forms may not have been finalized when you initially tried to prepare your tax returns.

The program is updated now to reflect the correct retirement credit as outlined here.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please log back into your program.

From the menu at the top of your screen, select Online, and then select Check for Updates.

Once the program is updated, select the State Taxes tab and go through the interview screen again to ensure the credit calculates correctly.

When you see the screen titled "Take a look at Ohio credits and taxes," look in the top section of this screen. Your Retirement income credit will be listed.
