It sounds like a mortgage was carried over from another tome.

If you go to the section

    1. Deductions & Credits
    2. If you see Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098)
    3. Turbo Tax is looking for 1098 information.
    4. We can resolve this.

    Go back to the sidebar

    Select Tax Tools

    • Tip: You may have to minimize tabs for both Federal & State
    1. Select Tools
    2. On the Pop-Up menu select Delete a Form
    3. This will give you all of the forms in your return
    4. Scroll down to the form you want to delete
    5. Select the Form
    6. Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet (XXXXX)
    7. Click on Delete.
    8. [Delete selected form]
    9. [Continue]

You will no longer require 1098 information.
