Married but filing separately. Both federal and state want his SSN. He is incarcerated and I don't have his SSN. What can I do

You can file without it, but not electronically.  You may want to check records that you have around including prior tax returns to see if you can locate it.  If you cannot, you will need to print and mail your return this year.
