Hi, I am not able to efile due to fix needed for California tax.

I have mentioned ITIN for my kids. I got a review to fix the entry.

California Information worksheet: Dependent's Soc Sec Num is a Duplicate Social Security number.

I paid the money for filing. Please help me here.

if you are being rejected for a duplicate social security number, this means someone else already filed with someone with that SSN/ITIN.

First go back and double check to be sure you entered the numbers correctly.

If it is, you can apply for an IP PIN which will allow you to file a return even if there is an issue with the duplicate ITIN

Get an identity protection PIN (IP PIN)

No, it was not rejected. It seems there was some malfunction on the site in how it handled my information. I entered my dependents’ information only once, and I can clearly see it on my info page. Still, the system flagged it as a duplicate Social Security number for my kids when I tried to e-file.

Despite these warnings, it asked for payment. I made the payment with $272, and now I’m stuck and unable to e-file. This seems like a poor implementation on TurboTax’s part — how can you allow payment before resolving errors that prevent e-filing? There is no support as my money stuck and also you can’t efile. This is not a good thing with Turbo Tax.

I will never ever do efile with turbo tax again.

This forum can't help you request a refund.

Here is how to request a refund on a TurboTax product.
