State Purchase CT: Hmm it looks like we've hit a slight snag

I have tried for two days and talked to support and has not resolved. Have deleted cookies.  Desktop version Home and Business. Suggestions appreciated.

Did you try a different browser?  That may make a difference.

 

Also try rebooting your computer.

 

Also, make sure that all updates have been run for your TurboTax program.

Still unable to purchase the state. Thanks for tips though, I tried them all.  I have completed Federal and resident state fine, it is not allowing me to purchase for non-resident state.

There is. 

 

You need to call Customer Service and tell them you have a "block payment issues, possibly due to billing or an invalid license" and the agent should be able to help you. Here is how you reach customer service:  Turbo Tax Customer Service 


After calling support, this is a way for them to use my credit card on file and pay for the state filing fee. However, since I had already filed the federal return, there was no way to just file the state return. Attempting to file both the fed and state returns at the same time returned a duplicate error. I needed to mail in the state return.

 

I still don't know why the payment blocking happened in the first place.
