Question

I cannot file my return. The program says I need to upgrade to Deluxe because my return incudes medical expenses, but my return does not include any medical expenses.

I am using TurboTax free for the 2021 tax year. I do not have anything in my return that would require an upgrade.

    Did you transfer your information in from last year? If so, you may have had unclaimed medical expenses that carried forward.

     

    If you have a T4 slip, Box 85 – Employee-paid premiums for private health services plans on that slip is claimed as a medical expense.
