I have a saved copy of my filed return on my computer but need to upload it to my online turbo tax account. How can I do that?

My return was completed on someone else's computer and so I didn't have access at that time to my online account. Now I want to amalgamate it with my other returns for continuity. How do I upload the .tt file to my online account?

Please follow the steps carefully:

Copy the TurboTax file to a portable storage device

On your original computer, open TurboTax.
Open the return you want to copy.
Insert your portable storage media (such as a USB key or portable flash drive) in the appropriate drive or port.
From the File menu, select Save As.
In the Save in field, select the drive (e.g., D:Removable drive).
Click Save.

Restore the TurboTax file to your new device

Insert the portable storage media with your TurboTax file into the new device.
On your computer Desktop, double-click My Computer.
Double-click the portable drive.
Select the file(s) you want to copy/transfer.
From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
Select the folder where TurboTax data files are installed. The default location for these files is C:Documents and Settings User My DocumentsTurboTax2xxx.
From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
