Question

I am told I must upgrade to Premium because I have Capital Gains or Loss (Schedule D) BUT I DO NOT have Capital Gains or Loss. What can I do?

Did you receive capital gain distributions on an IRS form 1099-DIV box 2a?

 

If you did, capital gains are reported on line 13 of IRS form Schedule D.

 

If you can identify the income that invokes the new schedule or form, you must remove that income from your tax return or you will have to upgrade to the next version of TurboTax.
