How do I uninstall a 2021 Turbotax download and reinstall a Turbotax CD Version so I can override values my CPA made to my last year's Tax Return?

The TurboTax CD is the beta version of the 2021 software. The download file is the latest release of the 2021 software.

There is no need to remove the 2021 software installed from the download to install from a CD.

If the 2020 tax data is incorrect then you can either not transfer the 2020 data to the 2021 return or you can change the information that was transferred in Forms mode on the 2021 return.

Huh? The CD is exactly the same as the download. Did you transfer from 2020 into 2021? If you don't want the 2020 amounts to transfer over just start a new tax return. Go up to File-New and don't transfer.

Or please explain more what you are trying to do. Do you want to reinstall last year's 2020 program? You can have more than 1 year installed. You should be able to change things. But the 2021 program is not fully ready yet. There will be many updates to come. The IRS hasn't even finalized all the forms yet.

Did the cpa prepare your 2020 return? If you want to change his values are you asking about amending your 2020 return? Or what values do you need to change for 2021?

I tried to change the CPA small changes on my 2021 inputs after downloading the 2020 into the download version of 2021. You cannot make changes if you use the Download version of 2021. However, if you get the CD version of the 2021 you can override the values (does not work with just the download version). So I had to purchase two copies from Amazon, but if I had just bought the CD version, I could override and put the CPA input changes into my 2020 taxes to my 2021. If this is too hard, I give up. Paid twice and will just buy the CD Version from Costco or Sams next time. Hope you understand.

The download is the same program as the CD. That shouldn't make a difference. But there has been problems with Amazon this year. You should call in and see what they say and let them know. This doesn't make sense. Are you trying to change the inputs that transferred over from 2020 or new inputs for 2021? How are you transferring from 2020? Do you have a .tax2020 file on your computer? Or did you transfer from a pdf? Maybe you need to open 2020 in the 2020 program and make the changes, save it, then transfer from the updated 2020 return.
