Maybe this is due to the 183 day rule?  147 days end of 2024 a California resident, resident of a prior state the earlier remainder of the year.  It shows original state as resident state tax return and Cali as non-resident.  It does not allow to change it.  Moved permanently, Cali is domicile state now.  Is this correct???

California is you domicile state and you would be a Part-Year Resident of both states.  Go back to the Personal Info section, and make sure you indicated that you moved during the year.  You can also make the adjustments in the state section of TurboTax.

I had changed personal info to new California address previously, but it asks if I made other income besides original state.  I think that might be why it is continuing to list California as non resident.  It should now ask if I made income in any other state besides California, not the prior state.  I don't know how to correct that.

Yes did that, it continues to ask what other state other than original state even though I changed address to new state.

If you did not work in any other state after your move to California, then answer No to the question about having income from another state.
