I filed a 1040 SR with standard deduction. In my CA 540 it took a Schedule A into the 540. What should I do?

Do I need to remove the Schedule A from the CA 540?

When that happens it might be because your CA itemized deductions were greater than the CA standard deduction. If so, that is a tax benefit for you.

CA allows some deductions that are not permitted on your federal return, such as employee business expenses and moving expenses.
