I live in SC What percentage of my pay check should be deducted for federal tax?

The amount of your federal tax liability is not determined by which state you live in.   Federal and state income tax systems are completely separate from each other.   If you need help to see how much federal tax to have withheld from your paychecks, use the federal W-4 tool to help.
