Are they your children who are US citizens and lived with you more than half the year?

If the person is not a U.S. citizen or a U.S., Canada, or Mexico resident for some part of the year, they cannot be claimed as a dependent on a US tax return.

And...."sending money" --or child support cannot be entered on a tax return.    Child support is not deductible.   We need some information about the children and whether they have lived with you in the U.S. to help determine if any of them can be claimed as your dependents or if you are eligible to get any child-related credits for claiming them.  Are they U.S.citizens?  Do they have Social Security numbers?
