Question

NE Calculation for Property Tax

I recently received a letter from the Nebraska Department of Revenue stating that My refund had been corrected reduced by $140) for one of the following reasons: 1) mathematical error was made in calculating the amount of credit; 2) the amount of credit claimed exceeded the allowable amount; or 3) the documents submitted did not support the claim.

Reading previous posts, I see that someone report the same issue last year. Has Turbo Tax not rectified this problem again for 2023? If so, how do I get Turbo Tax to make the correct calculation.

Unforunately, without having more details as to the reason for North Carolina adjusting your state return, it's hard to answer exactly what the problem is that you are referring to.

You have the option to request a review of your specific situation if you believe there was a calculation error when you prepared your state return using TurboTax.  For more details on the Accurate Calculation Guarantee, please see this link.
