Virginia PTE 502 amended

Hi, I need to file an amended Virginia 502 (PTE) return for an S-corp. Virginia does not allow amended 502s to be mailed in, but Turbo Tax business states it cannot be used for amended returns. There has to be a way to accomplish this like some type of work around.

The program can be used to complete an amended Virginia return but you will not be able to use the state interview step by step to make the changes. All changes will need to be made directly to the forms.

Please see the screenshot below (which is shown in the TurboTax program when you state you want to amend the state return) and follow the instructions to complete the VA amended S-corp return. We highly suggest saving the original file, and creating a copy for the amended return. This will ensure you have all of the original forms in case you ever need them to refer back to.
