TPG is holding funds, TT unable to be reached

This is kind of wild that I have to actually post a question in a community forum to get anyone to respond to me from TurboTax. My refund was issued a week ago from the IRS. I have never had any issues getting my money sent direct deposit except for this year. I am not able to reach anyone at TPG, and I’m not able to get a customer service on the phone from TurboTax either. I am ready to contact an attorney and see if maybe somebody else can get through to one of these companies that is fraudulently holding tax return funds. I am not the only one based on the comments in these threads that this has happened to.

When I go to the TPG website, they can find my account just fine and they tell me that they’ve received my funds from the IRS. But they say that they are holding my funds because they need a drivers license (which I only found out through the telephone message when I’ve tried to call) I’ve not gotten a single notification via email or phone regarding this hold. However when I go login there to that other place to provide a DL they say they can’t find my account. So nobody contacts me to tell me that they need something from me, and when I have had to spend my time investigating to figure out what the heck I need to do, I then can’t even provide the information they say that they’re requiring. Which is on the same site that tells me they’ve received my money just fine and it’s hanging out in their bank account collecting interest. What is happening here??? TT, I have been using your services for a decade and this is seriously shameful. My direct deposit information hasn’t changed in 10 years. Why is there suddenly a problem now??? And what exactly is the problem, because I don’t know. No one has told me a thing and I can’t reach anyone.

Not only can I not reach a single human being by phone, email, chat, etc., but I also can’t even send the information that they say is required. I am seriously overwhelmed and have no more time to spend on this. TPG is literally stealing from your customers, your community is in an uproar, and not a thing is being done about it. I want a resolution. What is the resolution to this??? I’m lucky that I don’t need this money immediately, but you have lots of customers that are in dire straits because of TPG. What is being done to fix these problems? And how does the taxpayer, your customer, go about figuring out what it is they actually need from us?

The same is going on with me. Sending money to my bank that my bank has not gotten . No reply’s from either TPG nor turbo tax. My 8th year filing. My first time needing to have this money and they’re holding it. Why and added a 39 bank return fee. You can’t hold my money then add a 40 fee and take it out from bank returned . No sense

Yes file with the IRS that you're taxes have not reached you and that they have been stolen.

That's exactly one of the steps that I have already started and one my lawyer suggested off the bat.

Im hoping there might be enough people willing to lawyer up because it makes it easier to piggy back lawsuits off each other. This quite frankly not just illegal but it makes no sense. Turbotax-Intuit-The bank. All parties equally guilty

Like what the actual hell is going on? You legit can't reach anyone which is moot anyways considering they're all useless in helping

So you can't contact anybody at all about why we either don't have our money or in some peoples cases getting significantly less?

Has anyone gotten any more insight ? A week of this and we are genuinely still left in the dark is fu**ng absurd.

All who are lawering up note that in the turbotax Help page regarding Refund Processing Service. It states Refund Processing Service won't slow or delay the refund process. Which is clearly false since they are all being held. Two things need to happen from this. A resolve and the tarnishing of reputation because this is absurd and turbotax lack of support is absolutely trash. Peoples MONEY is just gone. Being held by a bank or being distributed at a % instead. What the hell.

The explanation of needing to verify a Drivers License is completely false and not even accurate of whats happening. There are TONS of people who are receiving significantly less than the IRS sent out. Even if it was some form of hidden fees, those can't possibly add up to thousands of dollars a person. Its criminal and without explanation.

The uploading of a drivers license is not an adequate response to this because half the problems aren't even that. Alot of people are missing portions of their money , alot are missing the entirety of it. Without ANY explanation or any agreement signed anywhere. Its absolutely criminal

And the pas off to TPG from TurboTax is a joke. We understand that you may not have access to anything from TPG but that doesn't really matter to us. Its your liability to fulfill the order TurboTax, its not OUR responsibility to contact YOUR third party YOU chose to use. Thats on YOU. Its absolute bull**bleep** that you make your CUSTOMERS figure out whats going on alone.

My lawyer is requesting an additional hardship at the minimum and we plan to use that money not for legal expenses ( as my lawyer and I have a close relationship ) but for marketing against TurboTax. No way can someone pass off liability like this and be dealing with peoples money. Will actively contribute court proceedings towards a marketing campaign to slander TurboTax name as your time should be done this is hot garbage. When the IRS is more reliable than you, that's a serious issue

i filed my taxes 2/11/22 it said it was accepted by the irs 2/11/22 and said my money was released 3/4/22 but i have yet to receive my money.

Yea same happen with me says my money is on reserver as well been with turbo tax for 10 years and I need that 6 grand back I'm getting called every one last week and finally turbo tax told me it was thru them so calling them tommorw but from the looks of it u can't get ahold of any one but gusse I'll give it a shot btw do you guys that's complaining have a turbo tax netspend card my mom got her money thru turbo tax last week but she has a bank account not a turbo tax card so wondering if it may have somethan to do with that

I thought I could be the only one with this issue. Never thought this could happen through TurboTax, been a customer for 7 years. Had the same issue with TPG I had to make payment through my refund and notice I’m short more than $1000 short. This is something that need to be corrected and have yet been able to see my full refund. I called and was told to call the IRS already did and I don’t owe them anything.
