TPG is holding funds, TT unable to be reached

This is kind of wild that I have to actually post a question in a community forum to get anyone to respond to me from TurboTax. My refund was issued a week ago from the IRS. I have never had any issues getting my money sent direct deposit except for this year. I am not able to reach anyone at TPG, and I’m not able to get a customer service on the phone from TurboTax either. I am ready to contact an attorney and see if maybe somebody else can get through to one of these companies that is fraudulently holding tax return funds. I am not the only one based on the comments in these threads that this has happened to. 

When I go to the TPG website, they can find my account just fine and they tell me that they’ve received my funds from the IRS. But they say that they are holding my funds because they need a drivers license (which I only found out through the telephone message when I’ve tried to call) I’ve not gotten a single notification via email or phone regarding this hold. However when I go login there to that other place to provide a DL they say they can’t find my account. So nobody contacts me to tell me that they need something from me, and when I have had to spend my time investigating to figure out what the heck I need to do, I then can’t even provide the information they say that they’re requiring. Which is on the same site that tells me they’ve received my money just fine and it’s hanging out in their bank account collecting interest. What is happening here??? TT, I have been using your services for a decade and this is seriously shameful. My direct deposit information hasn’t changed in 10 years. Why is there suddenly a problem now??? And what exactly is the problem, because I don’t know. No one has told me a thing and I can’t reach anyone. 

Not only can I not reach a single human being by phone, email, chat, etc., but I also can’t even send the information that they say is required. I am seriously overwhelmed and have no more time to spend on this. TPG is literally stealing from your customers, your community is in an uproar, and not a thing is being done about it. I want a resolution. What is the resolution to this??? I’m lucky that I don’t need this money immediately, but you have lots of customers that are in dire straits because of TPG. What is being done to fix these problems? And how does the taxpayer, your customer, go about figuring out what it is they actually need from us?

When I received my refund it was way less than expected. They held it for almost a month this has never happened before. After reading all the comments I see I was not the only one who had this issue.

TPG cashed my IRS check on February 24th. They claim my bank rejected their transaction. The bank states that they did not get a transfer at all. TPG claims to have issued me a check and the automated phone system states that the check was sent out the current date. It has done this for a month. I made a complaint with the BBB and got a lame copy and paste response. They are holding $12000.00. To me it feels like they are stealing the money.

Same here, Never had a problem with turbotax. now i'm here looking for my refund. i see that TPG has sent it out. I haven't been contacted or anything

I am having the same issue. I received my return, but TPG is holding a portion of it with no explanation.

My full Refund is also being held captive at the Santa Barbara TPG bank. It tells me that instead of sending direct deposit that I am getting sent a cashier's check. Ther is NO GOOD reason for this as I double checked all of my direct deposit information 3 times before submitting my info. Also, Why  does this company think its okay to hold onto my money for weeks before sending a check? They also refused to let me give them my bank information to have it resent into my account. needless to say I will never be using turbo tax EVER again. I have been using Turbo tax for decades.

Having the same issue since 2/2/22....sigh. I created a TikTok addressing the issue and tagged everyone from CNN to turbo tax. Social media seems to be the route to get people's attention, so i suggest Everyone give it a shot.

My refund has been shorted by over 1300 dollars after my tubo tax fees were deducted and I'm not pleased with how I haven't been able to reach anyone about it.

My refund is 1,000$ less, not including the $117 I was charged by TurboTax. And comes from "TPG PRODUCTS SBTPG LLC". Is TPG PRODUCTS SBTPG LLC affiliated with TurboTax? And was I charged an additional fee? I do not believe I was informed about this additional charge. Can I apply for a refund for that charge?

Similar issue for me. It is VERY CLEAR that turbotax does NOT want to address this issue one on one with its customers. A shame, I have been a customer for nearly 10 years, but I think its time to find another service. I was quoted a refund that was roughly $1500 more than I actually received. Why my federal return was accepted by the IRS only to be drastically changed, I do not know. The clusterf*ck created by our government/cdc over the last couple of years, and the following stimulus payments/child credit payments are likely to blame, however I filled out all the information correct according to the IRS records I have, so it is VERY disappointing that turbotax would be so blatantly WRONG about my refund. They had a month to contact me about the discrepancy, but of course they never did. I am a very displeased customer who will be using another service after this. Hopefully I can find one that is honest.

The IRS approved our refund of 4,600. TPG only sent 2,500. Where is the rest of our refund?
